Agile Assessment

A complete assessment of an organization's use of agile methods, its software engineering practices, and its project management skills and capabilities can be a significant undertaking, particularly for a large organization. Cutter's team is exceptionally skilled at performing both the qualitative and quantitative assessments you need.

During the quantitative assessment, we gather data from project teams and then compare the teams to one another, as well as to a large database of industry projects, using five core metrics: quantity of function, productivity, duration, effort, and reliability. The data generated by this assessment becomes the baseline for monitoring improvement. The qualitative assessment begins with three detailed surveys that are filled out by a cross-section of client individuals. These surveys provide your organization and Cutter's Senior Consultant with a comprehensive picture of the organization. The Cutter Senior Consultant then conducts extensive onsite interviews with the client's staff and management.

The quantitative and qualitative assessment efforts are combined and analyzed, with the results delivered in both presentation and report form. The recommendations are specific to your organization's vision of its future and its current situation and may cover project management, process and methodology, project success, organization and culture, team effectiveness, product management, software engineering practices, project environment, and portfolio management.
