Everybody wants to be innovative. In fact, if you listen to the latest commercials on TV or read the ads in leading business magazines, everybody is innovative -- because they say they are. Unfortunately, not every organization or everyone who claims to be innovative really is, in much the same way that not everyone who knows how to write is truly a "writer." I once asked an editor how you could tell if someone was a writer, and she answered, "Oh, that's easy; they write!"
