Joseph Feller Senior Consultant

Dr. Joseph Feller is Editor of Cutter Benchmark Review and a Senior Consultant with Cutter's Data Insight & Social BI practice. He is a Senior Lecturer in Business Information Systems at the University College Cork (UCC - Ireland) where he coordinates the PhD in Business Information Systems, teaches, supervises post-graduate and post-doctoral researchers, and conducts research.

Prior to joining UCC, Dr. Feller taught at the Ringling College of Art and Design (USA). His research focuses on open innovation and peer production phenomena, such as open source software, open content, crowdsourcing, innovation marketplaces, citizen science, and social media collaboration platforms. He has published 5 books, over 60 academic papers and over 100 practitioner articles and reports. His written and edited work in the area of open source software has been particularly influential, cited over 1000 times in the academic literature. He has directed a variety of international research projects funded by Irish and EU funding agencies, as well as by private industry and government partners. He is a frequent presenter and panelist at international conferences, and has been invited to deliver keynotes, seminars, workshops and policy briefings by numerous industry organizations, private firms, non-government organizations and Irish and European government bodies.
