To collect, analyze, and interpret the data required for the business and technical decisions needed, Intrigue engaged Cutter Consortium to conduct a technical debt assessment. Although the assessment was carried out in parallel with other engagements, the two consultants who worked with Intrigue completed the engagement in less than three weeks. The data generated and insights provided by the assessment put Intrigue in a position to make the right kind of decisions at three levels: strategic, tactical, and operational. Moreover, the assessment helped Intrigue improve its software process in a significant manner.
