Knowledge Strategy Intensive
-
Length of workshop: One day
- General Overview:
-
A true systems view of knowledge and value means
rethinking business models. It means redefining
value to include intangibles, implementing
intangible scorecards and indexes, and using
business modeling methods that link these metrics
to continually evolving real activities.
In this workshop, Verna Allee provides an overview of the three levels of knowledge:
- Operational Knowledge, in which we connect knowledge to those who need it and answer the question How can we codify and share knowledge of routine tasks?
- Tactical Knowledge, which connects people to share good ideas, and answers the question How can we better create, use and apply our knowledge?; and
- Strategic Knowledge, which connects knowledge
to the business model, and focuses on the
question How does knowledge create business
value? with emphasis on the top level of
knowledge: strategic knowledge. Verna Allee will
introduce the concept of value networks, and
explain why intangibles are real assets that
accumulate as a result of specific, observable,
manageable activities.
