Rapid Enterprise Architecture Training for Government

Rapid EA Training is designed to quickly bring your EA team up to a level of understanding and expertise that allows it to meet its goals and commitments and to produce high-quality FEA conformant deliverables. The program consists of two components:

1. Understanding EA and FEA. The focus of this three-day workshop is to bring the entire EA team up to a common level of understanding about EA and FEA with the course being a combination of the following presentations and workshops:

  • Overview of Enterprise Architecture
  • EA Practice Areas: Business, Information, Application, and Technology Architecture
  • Overview of FEA and Meeting FEA Requirements
  • EA at the Client Agency: Requirements, Goals, Targets, Principles

2. EA Practitioner Skill Training. This two-day practitioner session is designed to focus on specific skills for the different EA practice areas. Each workshop is a mix of presentation interspersed with hands-on exercises designed to apply the skills to realistic client project scenarios. A typical workshop's content includes:

  • Overview of Practice Areas
  • Relationship of Each Practice Area to EA and Other Practice Areas
  • Walkthrough of an EA and Practice Area Example
  • Client's Process: Standards, Guidelines, Deliverables, and Artifacts
  • Practice Area Skill Set Overview
  • Interpreting the Conceptual Architecture
  • Creating a High-level Architecture/Design
  • Driving to Implementation Level
